Harvest Dinner with Guest Chef Rob Shaner

Savor an extraordinary evening celebrating Michigan's fall harvest's vibrant flavors and bounty. On Saturday, November 1, 2025, Coast 236 invites you to experience a six-course tasting menu curated by Chefs Rick Bower and Rob Shaner, showcasing the season’s best local ingredients and refined culinary craft. Optional wine pairings, thoughtfully selected by Sommelier Tanna Knapp, will be available to complement each course.

Guests may reserve times between 5:30 and 7:30 PM for this one-night-only event. Space is limited, and advance reservations are required. The experience is $110 per guest, with an optional wine pairing for $60. Dietary restrictions cannot be accommodated, as only the prix-fixe menu will be served.

​About Guest Chef Rob Shaner

A traveler by nature, Chef Rob Shaner discovered his passion for cooking while living in Paris as a teenager. After returning to Chicago in 2010, he worked with top kitchens across the city, including serving as Executive Chef at Hotel Lincoln for the Boka Restaurant Group. In 2020, he opened Robert et fils, an intimate French restaurant in Chicago’s North Center neighborhood. Today, he shares his craft as a full-time instructor at Kendall College and as a private chef, bringing French technique and Midwestern warmth to every table.
